Montefrio Art Society Exhibition September 2009

Montefrio’s La Enrea Hotel provided a relaxed and comfortable setting for the first of a series of events aimed at achieving closer integration between the local British and Spanish communities.Friday evening of 25th September saw a convivial gathering of people where they were able to view the works of five local artists. This event was organised jointly by Zerca Hoteles Director Clive Jarman and Montefrio art enthusiast Roger Marriott.

Alcala la Real Royal Ferria September 2009

Everybody had a great evening at the local Alcala La Real Royal Ferria on a warm September evening with Spanish ladies out to impress in their traditional dresses of all patterns and colours only matched by the vibrancy and colour of the ferria with the local villages of the surrounding areas represented by wonderfully ornate bar areas decorated and lit in spectacular fashion. If you only go to one ferria all year then make it this one for shear size and events it is second to none in this area

Montefrio Ferria September 2009

A lovely day was had at the Montefrio annual September ferria with Several floats making their way through the winding streets of Montefrio and ending up at the ferria site itself where several fairground rides awaited along with plenty of stalls and bars and a really happy carnival atmosphere, even the sunshine made an appearance after a week of rain and cloud, i highly recommend the ferria for a great day out.
